Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is for patients with a missing tooth or missing teeth.

It functions to fill the gap left by the missing teeth and maintains the structure of the smile.  A bridge can help prevent the natural teeth from shifting or rotating into the space that's created by missing teeth, and becoming misaligned.

Much like you might expect, the bridge attaches to the remaining natural teeth on either side literally 'bridging the gap' that is caused by missing teeth. 

Because bridges attach to other teeth, their longevity will depend on the health of the supporting teeth.

Dental Crowns

Broken, decayed or weak teeth may be rebuilt using dental restorations called crowns.

They can also be used to enhance the cosmetic appearance of teeth. Often referred to as 'dental caps,' crowns can be made out of porcelain/ceramic, gold alloy, or a combination of both.

When cemented into place, a crown covers the entire visible aspect of a tooth at and above the gum line, becoming the tooth's new outer surface.

Alternatively, composite fillings, inlays and onlays are dental restorations that cover or fill in only a portion of a tooth.
